Sponsored Post: L'Occitane Purifying Roll-on Deodorant

We've discussed my weakness for fancy deos before. My latest obsesh is natural beauty products veteran L'Occitane Purifying Roll-on Deodorant ($16). I was taken ABACK when I took a whiff of the sample at my fave beauty sanctuary, New London Pharmacy.

I accosted Wesley, one of my fave beauty gurus, who works at the store. "No, but does it WORK?" I shrieked at him. He assured me it did. "No, but in 90+ schvitzy weather? I don't want to smell in the name of natural beauty. Do I LOOK like a hippie?" He PROMISED me it'd do the job.

And does it ever: I smell of nothing but lemon, cardamom and eucalyptus come the end of a sweltering day that includes multiple subway rides, stress and a gym sesh. The ingredient blend is also understood to eliminate toxins and impurities. I love its refreshing glide-on consistency almost as much as its herbally delish scent.

Purchase L'Occitane Purifying Roll-on online or if you're in NYC, at New London Pharmacy at 246 Eighth Avenue.

Disclosure: Though this is a sponsored post by L'Occitane's social media representative, I actually purchased the product myself

Since this is a deoderant, and not an antiperspirant, were you still sweating?

  2. I like the Tom's deodorants, though they may be a trifle meek for 90+ degree temps. George Carlin once suggested placing a bay leaf under each arm--in jest.

  3. I didn't notice much more sweat than with my antiP, but there was a bit more.

  4. Really though, $16 for deodorant? I just can't think of a benefit that a deodorant could have to justify spending this much when I know a $1 product will do the job...maybe if it made me stop growing under-arm hair... :)

  5. I'm all for using natural products. However, I sweat like a hog (I've come to grips with it) and need the added benefits of an antiperspirant. As soon as L'Occitane makes one of those, I'll be first in line.
