Fictionary: Whore Drawer

Welcome to a new BBJ feature called Fictionary! It's not really news, but at BBJ HQ, we're fans of creating our own lexicon. By we, I mean me. I frequently drop a neologism (check the GLOSSary below) without much pomp and circumstance, but when the word is beauty-related, it'll be showcased in this column. It's, you, know, words that don't exist, but should. Today's word is Whore Drawer.

Now, we've discussed the term before. It's a phrase coined by my gal Lauren. But that was long ago, and I feel we still need to celebrate it. It's a drawer you keep in your office at work stocked with cute outfits and emergency makeup and fragrances for post-work drinks/events that you can't wear in your conservative business/business casual environment. Want to know my latest Whore Drawer addition?

It's DEX New York Mineral Glow Reflective Veil ($34) and it's sublime for mixing into some foundation for an all-over glow, or for imparting a bit of sheeridescence on lids instead of shadow or as a highlight. Its nude-ish beige pearl-esque quality floats over skin like liquid light. It reminds me of my beloved Clinique Zero Base Sheer Colour, which I've been hoarding since the late '90s (don't judge).

Recruit it for your own gleam team.

DEX New York Mineral Glow Reflective Veil is available at dexnewyork.com.

And tell me: What do you keep in your Whore Drawer?
