Fictionary: Gampaign

Fictionary is a column showcasing beauty-related words that don't exist, but should.

When it gets colder, I find I have to be more gambitious when it comes to ensuring my stems are super smooth and moisturized. In the summer, I find I don't need to work so hard on getting my gams to maintain their hydrated status. But in the fall and winter? I have to launch a gampaign. It's two-fold and it involves a drugstore bargain and a higher-end luxe lotion.

The first step is shaving with my new fave shave accoutrement Skintimate Cream Shave Moisturizing for Dry Skin in Cashmere Rain ($4). This stuff is thick like a milkshake and boasts stunning glide for my razor while it holds in moisture like it ain't no thing. I experience a marked difference with this stuff, so I'm happy to throw down a reasonable $4 every time I've run out of the convenient tube, which stands straight up in the shower.

After I've exited shower world, I lightly towel off and apply while my skin is still damp my new favorite body cream, Kiehl's new Creme de Corps Soy Milk and Honey Whipped Body Butter ($35). It is SUBLIME. It's even decorated in a limited-edition jar by contemporary artist Jeff Koons. With the shared vision of creating safer, more sustainable environments for children, the Kiehl’s and KOONS partnership will raise awareness and funds through the sale of the Limited Edition Creme de Corps Holiday Collection, a four-product collection which includes the above body butter. 100% of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of each product will benefit The Koons Family Institute, an initiative of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC). This scented cream's light application belies its 24-hour hydration. And yet, it's quickly absorbed leaving only its delish fragrance in its wake. You, your parched arms, legs and feet will LURVE it.
