Mad Men Costume Designer Janie Bryant Launches Nail Polish Line with Nailtini

Nail polish collaborations are clearly the way you know your celebrity is fierce in 2010. First Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and now super-smart sartorial storyteller Emmy-award winning Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant has launched her debut line of nail lacquers for beauty company Nailtini. The limited edition collection—available at Duane Reade Look Boutiques and QVC.com—features four polishes in festive metallics. Very pour yourself a drink, n'est-ce pas?

“I’ve had so much fun working on this project, and I’m delighted with the result,” Bryant said. “Rich velvet, heavy satins and opulent lames are the makings of classic cocktail attire and the inspiration for my Nailtini Collection.” I love her knack for out-of-circulation shades, evident even in her polish shades. Though metallics have experienced a renaissance, Janie homed in on some interesting twists on the usual, as is her gift.

The period appropriate cocktail-inspired names include Bourbon Satin, French 75, Stinger and Deauville.
Next month, Bryant will launch her new style book I can't WAIT to read, The Fashion File: Advice, Tips, and Inspiration from the Costume Designer of ‘Mad Men.’

The nail lacquers retail for $14 each.
