Official Mascara Correspondent: Hourglass Film Noir Lash Lacquer

Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh Ciucci tests out Hourglass' Film Noir Lash Lacquer, a glossy topcoat-esque substance for your lashes. Check her review.

When first opening the tube, I was surprised to see a brush applicator (like on a lip gloss) as the tool to apply this lacquer. However, it's the brush that is the key to this product. While the formula is a bit more liquid-y than a mascara, you'd still be able to apply it with a traditional brush. But the brush applicator paints on the lacquer as a means of dramatizing your daytime lash look. (It doesn't work too well when applying to bare lashes; there were lots of Q-tips and eye makeup remover needed.)

It's like the ultimate midday touch-up. You're not wrestling with trying to comb/brush through a product that might've become to dry. Instead, you're just painting another layer of pigment. Voila! Drama!

I have to say, this product is pretty specific and great for a makeup junkie, but it's not practical for everyone.
