Leap Year Indulgence: 24 Hours Of Beauty

May all BBJ readers' Leap Day bring
good luck and Matthew Goode.
Every four years, during which an extra 24 hours have accumulated, one extra day is added to the calendar keep the count coordinated with the sun's apparent position. Wondering how to spend your extra 24 hours this year (occurring this Wednesday, BTW)? I suggest celebrating the best way we both know how: By indulging in some at-home hair treatments. They're quick and easy on your wallet. Here's how to enter March 2012 with fly, hydrated, vibrantly-colored locks.

Grays are so February TWENTY-EIGHTH. Cover them up with your extra 24 hours this year, extend your time between color services or just try a daring new shade this month. Clairol Nice n’ Easy Color Blend Foam is easy, thanks to its no-drip formula and boasts incredible shine. $8 at drugstore.com.

All holidays are better with a blowout, but since Leap Day's not the most party-worthy of them all, how about partaking in an at-home iteration? Take the time to do your own salon-inspired 'do at home, but achieve profesh-worthy results with the new Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light Conditioning Shake. It'll nourish fine hair without weighing it down and even helps disguise badly-in-need-of-a-trim ends. Bonus: I spray it on straight second-day strands to impart fresh-smelling smooth waves.  It's $7 at walmart.com.

Aromatherapy always adds an extra something. Spend an extra ten minutes in the shower shampooing and conditioning with the new Head & Shoulders Green Apple Shampoo and Conditioner. While you take in bright notes of apple, pear and strawberries, give yourself a good thorough body scrub and even a facial mask--the shower's the best time to indulge in a skin treatment. They're $7 each at drugstore.com

What are you doing for Leap Day?
