Official Mascara Correspondent: Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara

Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh Ciucci takes on Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara. Read on for her review.

I was interested to try the new Revlon mascara after reading their claim: "100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified" lashes. It's a slippery slope when it comes to tag lines, because they'll reel you in with big expectations.

Sadly, I was a bit disappointed. While the large rubbery brush is usually a great go-to for glam lashes, I found that while the formula was wet, it didn't grip all that well to my lashes. I got good separation and definition and the pigment is nice and inky.

However, when I went in for coat two, my lashes were a bit too dry for more product to adhere. I wasn't able to comb through my lashes with the flexible bristles, so I was careful not to over-apply. I had nice length and curve to my lashes, just not "100%" more fabulous. Because of the slight brittleness of the fully dried formula, I wasn't able to go in for my beloved afternoon touch-up.

While I was able to remove the mascara with just soap and water (always a plus), it's not enough to make me fall head-over-heels in love with this one.--Ashleigh Ciucci
