Nikki Reed Makeup At The 2012 Teen Choice Awards

Nikki Reed KILLED IT on the red carpet at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. I daresay, it was a personal beauty best for her (and you know I'm don't give that out FREELY. She brought her beauty A-game). Makeup artist Fiona Stiles created Nikki Reed's sparkly simple makeup concept. Here's how to get the look, straight from Fiona.

“I was inspired by the combination of the architectural feeling of Nikki's top and the flirty silhouette of her skirt. I wanted to do something sexy but still fresh and young, and the navy cat eye felt a more playful than black; sex kitten versus sex bomb.”

Get The Look
“I prepped Nikki’s skin with Yonka Pamplemousse and applied Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #7 as a base.

I dusted Josie Maran Argan Eyeshadow in Vintage over her lid and then used CHANEL Ombré Essentielle Eyeshadow in Slate in the crease and under the lower lashes. Even when I do liner under the lower lashes I like to use a little taupe for depth. It adds a very subtle definition to the eye. Then I used a small pointed brush, swiped it over the Laura Mercier Caviar stick in Sapphire and painted on the line. I did two coats of the color because the second coat really made the navy color pop. I started the line 1/4 of the way in on her eye, winged it out, and continued the liner 1/3 of the way under the lower lashes.

I applied YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara in Black and added a few individual lashes to make the eyes sexier and more dramatic. To keep the lower half of the eye less dramatic I used YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils in Burgundy
on the lower lashes. It's softer and I love the unexpected color when the sun hits it.

In lieu of blush I used Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra to contour the cheeks. A flush of color would have felt a little juvenile. The contour was a edgier.

The lips were NARS Velvet Matte pencil in Calliope, a warm nude, which paired nicely with the contoured, bronzey, sunkissed skin.”

  1. It starts with beautiful skin and it looks like Nikki Reed takes really good care of herself. I like the natural look.
