Ted Gibson and I in 2009. |
With a current wait time of one month to eight weeks, Gibson deems the price increase necessary given his increasing popularity and demand for his services. His snips are “a luxurious, 5-star experience” wherein each guest receives a stress relieving treatment with hot towels, shampoo, conditioning treatment, haircut, blow-dry and style all from Gibson himself. When was the last time someone with his name on the salon was doing his own shampoo? Exactly.
“I’m making Hollywood accessible to the Upper East Side woman. The woman from NJ. The woman whose husband wants to give her a gift for the holidays,” says Gibson. “Hair – more than the anything else- dictates how a woman feels about who she really is. I strive to make sure that every client who sits in my chair feels pampered and loved. I’m providing her with more than a haircut – it’s an experience.”
What are your thoughts on Ted Gibson's $1,200 haircut?
