Go for the gold — in your makeup bag, that is. Gold makeup isn't just for the holidays. Metallic makeup is fresh for spring in many iterations. In the photo above, I'm giving a sultry gold stare, which I achieved by rocking a burnished gold on my lids paired with black liner on the top and bottom and lots of mascara for an uber-glam nighttime effect.

Lip Gloss
Gold lip gloss is great to wear solo at the beach (so much bang for a low-maintenance makeup buck) or dabbed on the center of the bottom lip for a plumper pout. One gold lip gloss to try? CoverGirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Caramel Apple Splash. If you want a more editorial look, simply swap out the lip gloss for a lipstick: CoverGirl BlastFlipstick Lipcolor in Stunner's gold side. Gold may be number 79 on the periodic table, but it's your number one secret weapon in your makeup bag.
