Are we dying over Scandal or what? I'm personally a proponent of all Scott Foley all the time. #TeamNoelForever. Last night, Kerry Washington's character Olivia Pope rocked a stunning contemporary faux-asymmetrical style with a classic French twist. Hairstylist Leonel Rodriguez shared with me the details on how to get this look.
Step 1
"Create a clean side part and prep hair with thermal protectant. Straighten and smooth all hair with a CHI flatiron ($129.95, ulta.com) bending ends slightly under.
Step 2
To add texture, spray a medium hold hairspray all over before gently brushing the French twist side back. Pull hair towards the loose hair (as if you were going to create a side pony) and begin rolling hair into a French twist. Hold the base of the roll and use bobby pins to secure it as you twist it up. Be sure to keep the twist low -- this faux-asymmetric style only works if you can’t see the twist from the front.
Step 3
Apply BioSilk Silk Therapy ($25 – ulta.com) with palms to the side and using a small mascara brush, clean up any fly-aways. Spray a strong hold hairspray into palms and smooth over the side for a super sleek/barely there look.
Step 4
Finish with a shine spray like BioSilk Shine On. ($16, ulta.com)"
What do you think of Olivia Pope's 'do last night?
